What does a Chicago Fire Department boat look like racing to the scene of an
emergency? Pretty much the same as a Chicago Fire Department car racing to the
scene of an emergency.
It turns out that this fireboat is equipped with the same lights an siren as
you’d find on a regular fire truck. And from a distance, as its racing toward
you, you might think that it’s actually a fire SUV on an adjacent street before
you realize that it’s actually in the river.
In this case, the fire boat was rushing to rescue someone who was floating
down the river in Bridgeport on an old dock that broke loose from the shore.
